Rest in peace matthew "eli" cook 1973 - 2021

July 28, 2021 marks the day the radio changed forever. The day the radio went silent, and all could mourn the loss of 2WR2811 / NB2811 Eli. After a long and hard battle with cancer, we remember him as the best president the World Radio Club has ever had the pleasure of knowing. ​

Eli loved radio so much, he wanted to start his own club and meet the most amazing people around the globe. He enjoyed talking to everyone. He loved and cared about every person that entered his life whether talking to them only through the DX world or whether in person. The DX world was hit hard with the loss of Eli, and we will feel that void forever.  So while y'all are out there listening to all those good conditions coming through your speakers,, listen real hard!! You may just be able to hear Mr Prez yelling "CQ CQ CQ DX WORLD RADIO TWENTY EIGHT ELEVEN NEEDLEBENDER TWO EIGHT ONE ONE CALLING AND STANDING BY" from his big DXing station in the sky!!!
